King Decoy
What follows is King Decoy's Bio:
In the past the Circle of Thorns (CoT), a group of like minded mages, have done some very evil things. They perform blood sacrifices of innocents, they summon great monsters from different realms, and steal relics to further their nefarious plans.
While performing a dangerous and costly ritual, a Mind Mage was concentrating on opening a portal to another realm to summon a great behemoth. This ritual required the souls of 15 people, the sacrifice of a great hero and a great relic just recently obtained. As the Mind Mage concentrated all other Thorns grew silent in their chanting allowing the Mind Mage more concentration and inner Pease needed to finish the summoning, as the portal started to form the east wall of the chantry was blow open sending many Thorns flying, distributing the Mind Mage in the progress. With the ritual interrupted the 15 people being held captive by the Mind Mage's power were released, the behemoth that was waiting on the other side grew upset and thrust it's arm with all of it's power at the anomaly created. The Mind Mage was caught in the grip of the creature he was trying to Being over and was pulled through the portal, his fate sealed.
The remaining Thorns were arrested and the hostages sent home. The news of this event spread like wiled fire through the CoT community. Among the heroes that attacked the chantry was a controller by the name of Mantice who had used a power known as Decoy Army. This power allowed a controller to summon forth a small amount of creatures made from pure thought to do it's masters bidding. One of the accolades of the CoT took it upon himself to master this feat, unfortunately due to the power of the CoT coursing through his veins he was unable to recreate the Phantom Army, much to the citizens of Paragon City's relief. How ever a second Mind Mage, the brother of the first, WAS able to tap into the part of his mind that would allow him to create a single but powerful Decoy.
The Mind Mage that created this decoy was a clever one, instead of having to concentrate to keep the Decoy active he used a combination of Magic and psychic control to give the Decoy the ability to sustain itself. In the process, unbeknownst to the Mage, the Decoy had gain a low level of sentence. The decoy was able to reason and think for itself, unlike a normal decoy and count summon up to 3 regular Decoys to do his bidding. During his training the powerful Decoy, was named by his creator as King Decoy. King Decoy was servant to his master and was used to guard him during every ritual that the Mage performed, every now and again a group of Heroes would attempt to stop the Mage but King Decoy and his small but stalwart army were able to push them all back.
During a particularly difficult ritual the Mage ordered King Decoy to do everything in his power to stop anyone from interrupting him, even if it meant his own death. King Decoy did not like this order, turning away from his "master" he spoke. "You would like me to sacrifice myself for you, as I have done so many times before. You presume to tell me to die for YOUR causes!? No more I am the master now!". King Decoy Summoned his Decoy Army and attacked the Mage. "No long will my people be subjugated by a non Decoy, Die!"
The battle was fierce, the mage and his coven were utterly annihilated unprepared for the onslaught from the Decoys. During his death thralls the Mind Mage was able to unleash a torrent of energy meant to cancel out King Decoy and his minions, however the only thing the Mage had accomplished was to seal away King Decoy's powers, making him weak.
Once word of King Decoy's defection the entire CoT community was ablaze again, teams were sent out to hunt down and destroy King Decoy but none were able to find him. Thinking he had dissipated with out his "Master's" power they left the matter to peruse others.
King Decoy had not dissipated at all but had hid away in the darkest part of the chemical outbreak area (Tutorial Zone). Finding his powers totally stripped he works towards unlocking his true potential and to stop the subjugation of his people by anyone but him, The King Decoy!
